School Resilience Building Program

Teachers, staff, children and parents need an opportunity to reflect, and prepare to bounce back.

As we emerge from the pandemic and return to the classroom children are exhibiting increased signs of stress and educators are being stretched to teach, manage behavior, and contend with their own feelings of stress and trauma. Parents want information to know that their child's education will be successfully revived, post-pandemic.
Bounce Back Generation's Resilience Project workshop and courses is a 5-course series that addresses the pandemic's impact on learning while helping teachers, parents, students, and administrators to envision a more resilient school environment.

Take this opportunity for team-building and problem-solving by creating mixed groups of participants of teachers, older students, parents, and administrators - or any group that works for your school.
5 CLASSES (2 HOURS EACH):
1. WHAT IS RESILIENCE, AND WHY DO WE NEED IT?
2. THE SCIENCE OF TRAUMA AND ITS EFFECT ON OUR BRAIN, BODIES, AND EMOTIONS.
3. THE 6 BUILDING BLOCKS FOR RESILIENCE - INCLUDES ACCESS TO ONGOING CLASSROOM TEACHING TOOLS.
4. THE ROADMAP TO RESILIENCE - HOW EACH OF US CAN IMPLEMENT A "SMALL POWERFUL THING" INTO THE PEOPLE, PLACES, AND PRACTICES OF THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT. PARTICIPANTS LEAVE WITH A PLEDGE TO MAKE A SMALL POWERFUL CHANGE.
5. ENVISIONING "WHAT'S NEXT" - CREATING A RESILIENT, MORE EMPATHETIC, AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR STUDENTS, EDUCATORS, STAFF, AND PARENTS.
Resilience is the ability to process, absorb, and adapt to traumatic events.
