You're part of this, too.
Every young person who bounces back has an adult in their corner. If you're that adult, this page is for you.
You are a Highly Responsible Person
You're the parent who stays up worrying. The teacher who notices the quiet kid in the back. The coach, counselor, social worker, mentor, aunt, grandparent, or neighbor who is worried about the challenges facing generations to come.
We call you a Highly Responsible Person. You often carry more than your share, and you often do it on an empty tank. But, you're holding us all up, too!
A steady, supported adult is one of the most powerful protective factors in a young person's life. When you take care of yourself you're better able to care for them.
But most adults are not aware themselves of how our own emotional health is affecting us, much less how to help our own child, or the kid in the back of the room, or the teen you're mentoring. That's what Generation Bounce Back is about.
About Generation Bounce Back our Sister Organization
As our youth programs grew, nonprofits, schools, government agencies, and community organizations saw what young people were learning, and they wanted the same training for their own teams.
So we built Generation Bounce Back (Gen BB) is our sister organization, created to bring the tools we teach young people to the adults who care for them:
-
Nervous system regulation: how to find your calm under pressure, and help others find theirs
-
The Six Building Blocks for Resilience: 6 ways you can create a trauma-informed environment at home, work, and community.
-
Archetypal storytelling: using archetypes like the hero's journey to build confidence, self-awareness, and a sense of purpose
-
Conflict Resolution: practical tools to face hard conversations without losing yourself
-
Burnout prevention: sustainable ways to keep caring without running on empty

How to Bounce Back: Emotional Evolution and the Science of Feeling Good is published by GBB Media. Proceeds help support BBG's nonprofit mission. Learn more or purchase here.
About our founder
Grounded in science
Everything we teach, for young people and adults alike, is built on research: the neuroscience of stress and the nervous system, studies on adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and the factors that protect against them, positive psychology, and research on how the stories we tell about ourselves shape who we become.
For both BBG and Gen BB, we translate that research into tools that feel simple, practical, and even joyful once you learn them. You don't need a science background, just a willingness to try.
